Mission of the Youth Work Department

Creation of an educational, socio-cultural, and social environment at the university that promotes the comprehensive development of studying youth, fosters civic responsibility, patriotic spirit, and spiritual and moral values in students, as well as realizes the social mission of the university and enhances its public image.

Goals

Systemic organization of educational work with university students, planning and implementation of events aimed at developing their personal, creative, intellectual, and leadership potential, as well as ensuring the effective implementation of state youth policy at the university level.

Key Tasks

• Implementation of the main directions of the state youth policy at the university level, development of annual and long-term educational work plans, coordination, and monitoring of their execution;

• Organization of events aimed at patriotic education of student youth, promotion of national values, history, culture, and traditions of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

• Conducting educational work aimed at building spiritual and moral values, tolerance, academic integrity, and legal culture;

• Increasing the social activity of students, encouraging their participation in public life, developing and supporting student self-government bodies, youth organizations, and clubs;

• Organization and coordination of volunteer activities, social projects, charity events, environmental and community initiatives;

• Organization of cultural, creative, intellectual, and spiritual events aimed at developing students’ creative abilities;

• Promotion of a healthy lifestyle, organization of mass sports events, prevention of harmful habits, and implementation of preventive work among young people;

• Work with students from socially vulnerable categories and students with special educational needs, assisting their adaptation to the university environment;

• Ensuring interaction with structural divisions of the university, faculties, departments, student organizations, state and public bodies;

• Implementation of youth projects aimed at enhancing the image of the university, organizing student participation in national and international events;

• Monitoring in the field of youth work, collecting and analyzing analytical information, preparing reports, and submitting proposals to the university management;

• Studying and implementing advanced experience in educational work, organizing seminars, trainings, and roundtables for staff and students to improve the quality of educational work; • Organizing activities in youth work in accordance with the university’s internal regulatory documents, the Code of Ethics, and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
